I wrote this on my return from Jessica's memorial service. I was in a pretty gutted state honestly, and reflecting about how differently my two train rides had been in Chicago. The first was a year earlier when I met Jessica for a vacation - on that ride there was joy, laughter and optimism; and on the second for her memorial, was just silence and a void. I didn't try to write this song. i was just sitting on my couch mindlessly thumbing around on my guitar - most of it was born out of that moment.
